Please Note: This will not affect policies currently in force.
We will continue to offer the Chesapeake PPO Dental Plans and Premiere Vision (including the senior version).
Note: Any applications still in progress for customers wanting coverage on the current Chesapeake application, as well as the Plans being discontinued, MUST be completed, signed and submitted prior to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, May 21. Coverage applied for on the CURRENT application cannot be issued for ANY application that is submitted after 7 p.m. on May 21.
Applications started on or after May 22 will continue to offer the PPO Dental Plans and Premiere Vision.
Increased Benefit Amount for Existing Critical Illness Direct Policies
Effective May 22, 2020, existing customers with a Critical Illness Direct policy in force prior to this date, will receive a $10,000 Lifetime Maximum Benefit increase without an increase in premiums. Customers will not be required to submit an application to receive the additional benefit.
• Example: An existing customer, prior to May 22, with a current benefit amount of $10,000 in force, will receive an additional $10,000 benefit, making their total maximum benefit $20,000, but their premium will remain the same. Note: Existing customers with the maximum benefit available of $100,000 in force will be increased to $110,000 for this purpose only. The $110,000 benefit will not be an available option for new business.
A Letter regarding the increased benefit maximum, an Amendatory Endorsement (AE) and an Outline of Coverage (OC) will be mailed to customers with an in force Critical Illness Direct policy after May 22. This mailout will require no action by the Agent. This mailout notification is for information purposes only in the event you are contacted by your customer.
