AIG Foreign National Guidelines Update

The Guidelines for Sales to Foreign Nationals have been updated to reflect the lifting of COVID-related restrictions related to contacts with Category 3 foreign nationals. In effect, we are increasing the lookback period for travel to the U.S. to accommodate Category 3 clients who were unable to travel in 2020 and 2021.

Also, Russia is removed from the list of approved countries for foreign nationals. The Foreign Travel Guidelines are also updated to reflect the current situation in Eastern Europe.

Updated Accommodation: Non-Resident Aliens, living outside the U.S., must have the following physical presence in the United States:

• A minimum 15-day stay annually in the U.S. for at least the prior 24 months OR
• A minimum 15-day stay in the U.S. in the prior 12 months as well as another minimum 15-day stay in the U.S. within the prior 48 months
