LTCi Payroll Tax Legislative Updates: What’s Next for State Mandated LTC?

You may or may not know of the Payroll Tax that is beginning to become very serious around the country.

The State of WA was first to enact this in 2020-21 and now other states are beginning to strongly come up with their own versions.

This is a payroll tax on all W-2 employees and it will provide a basic amount of LTCi coverage to people.

Employees can opt out if they have their own individual plans so it presents an outstanding opportunity for agents to start the discussion.

There are several worksite plans on the market that can be utilized and these plans include both guaranteed issue and simplified issue coverage.
