NEW: The SAGE Scholars Newsroom:
The SAGE Scholars Newsroom is an extension of our mission: To prepare students and families for the cost of a private college education and to provide selection advise, admissions help and academic readiness.
The SAGE Scholars Newsroom provides families with a platform where you can find all things college — equipping students with the tools, literacy, and knowledge to maximize their college investment. Our newsroom collects feature articles from industry experts, professors, students, and journalists who have lived and deeply understand the day-to-day of college campus life.
Featuring nine categories, The Newsroom brings you everything from paying for college and financial aid to student mental health and wellness — all written by current students, educators, or professors. If there’s something that you’d like to learn more about, email: newsroom@sagescholars.com.
New: Ready Set College®
Click here to visit our comprehensive college search, career planning, and funding website for students and their families: www.readysetcollege.org
It’s the only college search tool that connects students’ interests and skills with careers, majors, and colleges. Students can fill out a personality survey that suggests appropriate careers – and displays majors that are a “fit” for the career. Then, see which colleges offer the major.
The website is packed with resources for families to learn about the best college funding strategies, including custom calculators and a library full of articles and tips. The extensive resource library contains 60+ PDFs, including an excellent article on private college affordability.
New: FastTrak®
FastTrak is our innovative way of bringing SAGE students and member colleges closer together. High school students are encouraged and guided to create a robust Student Profile that will allow Consortium colleges to quickly view, recruit, and directly contact interested students. With maximized visibility, our seniors can more easily be recruited by our colleges.
Colleges wishing to opt-in to FastTrak can set parameters to target appropriate SAGE students. As additional transcripts arrive, colleges are automatically notified of students that are a “fit”. Or, students can email a transcript and profile directly to chosen colleges for a “Pre-Admit” decision (“Looks good. We look forward to receiving your recommendations, essays, etc.”).
FastTrak recently gained national attention in Inside Higher Education: https://www.insidehighered.com/admissions/article/2022/07/11/movement-grows-admissions-without-applications
